Short Stories

I continue to find the short story an extremely challenging medium. To be able to have a start, middle and end in a tale that can be as little as five hundred words is an extremely hard thing to master. And more so for the horror tale, because the author (in my mind at least) has to work harder to sell the scares to the modern reader who has been numbed senseless by other, more over powering forms of media. For my part at least, I will be hoping to bring some really good short stories from authors that will make you pause for thought. Then sleep with the light on. And, as it's my site - maybe the odd story from my fair hand....
